Holiday Shoppe

December at DVS during the school day (TBD)

Holiday Shoppe is back! Holiday Shoppe is designed to provide students with an opportunity to purchase gifts for family and friends at school in a safe, comfortable and friendly environment, without their parents following them. It is also an educational experience, where students learn the importance of saving their money and even budgeting for holiday surprises. All purchases are “kid-priced” and are $10 or less. Volunteers will be available to help the younger shoppers navigate the gifts and help them budget their money. Students will be able to wrap their gifts in their classrooms after they shop.

In previous years this event is usually held after school, but to help with social distancing the event will take place during the school day. Gift Guide envelopes will be sent home with your children. These are great ways to list what gifts need to be bought and how much to spend on each gift.

  • Available Gifts: You can browse the gifts that will be available at https://holidayshop.org/holiday-shop-gifts/ Note: This is a fun event, not a fundraiser. Items will be sold to the students at cost (0% profit).

  • Gift certificates: Gift certificates are a great option if you prefer to use a credit card instead of sending you child to school with cash. A sponsor/family member may purchase the gift certificate online and have it emailed back to your child to use at the holiday shop. Have your child bring a copy of the gift certificate to school. They are available at holidayshop.org/giftcert

  • Volunteers: We will be looking for a few volunteers to help us during the day. Our 2022 Holiday Shoppe Sign Up Genius will be posted soon. Please note that all volunteers must be fingerprinted in order to volunteer at this event.
